The 22nd Annual Nanticoke Indian Powwow

The Nanticoke Powwow is held every year, during the second weekend in September.

It is located just off of route 24 near Oak Orchard in Sussex County Delaware.

Just 12 miles west of Route One in Lewis Delaware. Look for the signs on Route 24

for Parking. This is very popular powwow with thousands of people in attendance for the

two day event, with great food. It is like an annual home coming event for Native Americans

with that New Jersey / Delaware connection. The powwow allows them to celebrate their culture

and heritage with friends and family.
